When the board runs out of moves
Most mahjong games let you reach a dead board and then tell you. This one watches for it and reshuffles what's left, so a board you were enjoying doesn't end in a shrug. It's the thing we'd most like you to notice, which is a strange thing to advertise, because when it works you don't notice it at all.
How it looks
Nine themes and eight tile sets, from ink-on-paper to a lacquered night garden. A few are paid; most aren't. The game plays identically whatever you pick.

Is Mahjong Moonwindow free?
Yes. Five hundred campaign boards, a daily board and the classic 144-tile turtle are all included. There are no timers, no lives and no streak to break.
What is mahjong solitaire?
A tile-matching game. You clear a layout by taking matching pairs, but only tiles that are FREE can be taken: nothing may sit on top of one, and one of its long sides must be open. Choosing which pair to take, and in what order, is the whole game.
Can I get stuck?
Not permanently. Every campaign board was checked by machine before it shipped to make sure it can be finished, and if a board does run out of moves the game quietly reshuffles rather than letting you lose.
Does it need an internet connection?
No. It plays offline. The daily board is the same for everybody and resets at midnight.
What are the tiles?
The traditional set: bamboo, characters and dots numbered one to nine, the three dragons, the four winds, and the flowers and seasons that match any other of their kind.
