These cover Mahjong Moonwindow, made by The Next Beacon. Playing it means you're fine with them. They're deliberately short. Nothing here cancels the consumer rights you have where you live.
What you get
You can install and play Moonwindow on devices you own, for as long as you don't do anything in the next section. You can't resell it, hand it out, rent it, or pass its artwork off as yours.
The game, its code, its art and its name stay ours. Buying a theme buys you access to that content, not the game itself.
What you can't do
- Pull the game apart to rebuild it, unless your local law says you're allowed to regardless of what we write here.
- Patch it or use tools to hand yourself the paid content.
- Attack, flood, or try to break into the servers the game talks to.
The purchases
The game is free, and all five hundred campaign boards, the daily, the marathon and the turtle are free with it. What's paid is how it looks: some themes and tile sets cost money. There's also a one-off payment to remove ads.
They're separate items, not a subscription. Nothing renews. Apple or Google take the money, not us, and whatever price their store shows you at the time is the price, tax included.
What you buy belongs to the store account that bought it, so reinstalling or moving to a new phone on the same account gets it back for free. Use Restore purchases in Settings.
Refunds
Whoever took the payment handles refunds, under their rules, and we can't issue one ourselves. If a store turns you down and you think the game is at fault, mail us anyway. We'd rather hear it. None of this touches any statutory right to a refund you have where you live.
Updates, and your save
The game plays offline and doesn't need a connection for a board. We'll keep updating it, rebalancing it and adding things. If an update would ever take away content you paid for, we'll say so first.
Your progress is saved on your device and also backed up to a server we run, so a new phone can pick up where the old one left off. That backup is reached with the code in Settings, under Backup. Keep it somewhere safe: anyone holding it can read the save it belongs to, and it's the only way we can find that save. Your purchases don't depend on it — they follow your store account.
The part about liability
The game comes as it is. We can't promise it's bug-free or that it runs on every phone ever made. As far as the law allows, we're not liable for knock-on losses from using it, and the most we can owe you is what you actually paid.
Some countries don't allow that. If yours doesn't, it doesn't apply to you. And nothing here covers us for death, injury or fraud, which it couldn't anyway.
Ending it
You end it by deleting the game. We can end it if someone seriously or repeatedly breaks the rules above, like routing around payment or attacking the servers.
Which law
Dutch law. If you're a consumer you keep the mandatory protections of your own country and you can bring a case there.
