Mahjong Moonwindow

Support

Mail info@thenextbeacon.com.

A small studio, so it reaches the people who build the game. Usually a reply in a couple of working days.

Tell us the game version, your phone, and what you were doing when it went wrong. With those three we can usually fix it in one reply instead of asking three questions first. The version is at the bottom of Settings. There's also a feedback box in Settings that sends the same thing without you having to write an email.

The usual questions

I paid and it still says locked.

Settings, then Restore purchases. That asks the store what your account owns and puts it back. Nine times out of ten it's because the phone is signed in to a different App Store or Google account than the one that paid. If that isn't it, send us the receipt and we'll sort it out.

I got a new phone.

Your progress does follow you. On the old phone, open Settings and copy the backup code under Backup; on the new one, Settings, Restore from backup, and paste it in. Purchases come back separately with Restore purchases, since those follow your store account.

If the old phone is already gone and you never wrote the code down, the progress is gone with it. We can't look it up — the code is the only handle we have.

The board has no moves left.

It shouldn't. The game watches for that and reshuffles the remaining tiles for you rather than letting you reach a dead board. If you've hit one that stayed stuck, that's a bug and we'd like to hear about it.

Can I get a refund?

Refunds go through whoever took your money, since they're the ones holding it. Apple does them at reportaproblem.apple.com, Google through your Play order history. If they say no and you think the game's at fault, mail us anyway.

Does it need internet?

No. Boards run on your device and it'll happily work on a plane. A connection is used to back your progress up, to talk to the store when you buy or restore, and to send the anonymous statistics if you allowed them.

What are you collecting?

Anonymous gameplay events, and only if you said yes when the game asked. The privacy page lists every field by name rather than describing categories. If you'd rather it stopped, say no — the game plays exactly the same.

How do I get my data deleted?

Settings, under Backup, there's an installation ID. Send it to us and we'll delete that installation's records within 30 days. There's no account, so that id is the only way we can find them.
